KitePin provides AI-powered voice and text chat agents that help businesses deliver 24/7 customer support. Our platform operates on a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model, meaning you connect your own OpenAI API key to power your agents.

Your Data, Your Control

With our BYOK model, conversation data flows directly between your website visitors and OpenAI using your API key. We don't store conversation content longer than your configured retention period.

What Information Do We Collect?

1. Information You Provide to Us Directly

  • Account Information: When you sign up for KitePin, we collect your email address, name, company name, and password.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase a plan, we collect payment information such as credit card details and billing address. This data is processed through secure third-party payment processors and is not stored by KitePin.
  • Agent Configuration: Settings you configure for your AI agents, including custom prompts, knowledge base content, appearance preferences, webhook URLs, and function calling parameters.
  • Team Member Information: If you add team members, we collect their names, email addresses, and assigned access permissions.
  • Contact Information: When you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email, and other details you provide.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the KitePin dashboard, including pages viewed, features used, agent configurations accessed, and analytics dashboard interactions.
  • Conversation Metadata: Session identifiers, timestamps, conversation duration, and message counts (but not the content itself beyond your configured retention period).
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and other standard server log information.

3. Information Collected Through Your Agents

When end-users interact with your KitePin agents on your website:

  • Conversation Logs: Voice and text conversation transcripts are stored according to your configured data retention settings (you control how long this data is kept).
  • User Variables: Any custom variables you configure to capture from conversations (e.g., email, phone number, order details).
  • Session Data: Connection information, browser type, and interaction timestamps.

Data Retention Control

You can configure your conversation retention period in the Agent Behaviour settings. Options range from immediate deletion to extended storage for analytics purposes.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide Our Service: To operate the KitePin platform, enable your AI agents, process conversations, and deliver analytics.
  • Analytics & Reporting: To generate your dashboard statistics including total users, active users, conversation metrics, and usage statistics.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
